To promote great scientific cooperation between China and Australia, Dr. Yaping Chen, representing Oujiang Laboratory, engaged in discussions and successfully achieved agreements with three world-renowned Australian universities: Monash University, The University of Queensland, and Deakin University. This collaboration marks a new milestone in research exchanges between China and Australia in cutting-edge fields such as biomedicine, nanotechnology, and immunology.
The agreement provides a broader platform for researchers from both countries to collaborate, fostering high-level academic exchanges, talent training, and joint research projects. At the same time, the three Australian universities highly value their cooperation with Oujiang Laboratory and have sent top scholars to attend the 2024 World Young Scientist Summit hosted by Oujiang Laboratory.
The invited distinguished Australian experts included:
Professor Nicolas Voelcker, Fellow of the Australian Academy of Engineering and professor at Monash University
Academician Di Yu, immunology expert from The University of Queensland
Professor Roey Elnathan, nanomaterials expert from Deakin University
At the summit, the three scholars delivered outstanding presentations on hot topics such as nanotechnology, precision medicine, and immunotherapy, and engaged in in-depth exchanges with Oujiang Laboratory and domestic researchers.
To help the visiting guests better understand Wenzhou, Oujiang Laboratory arranged a cultural tour of the city, guiding the experts through historical and natural scenic spots to experience the unique charm of Wenzhou firsthand. Meanwhile, Dr. Chen personally led the scholars on a visit to Oujiang Laboratory and the Nano-Immunology research group lab, providing detailed introductions to the research focus, latest progress, and scientific facilities, and held in-depth academic discussions with group members.
The scholars highly praised the research strength and team atmosphere of Oujiang Laboratory, noting that this visit deepened their understanding of China’s research environment and laid a solid foundation for future collaboration.
