The research in Cai laboratory focuses on the synthesis of marine-derived carbohydrates and glycosaminoglycans, developing novel strategy for the fabrication of glycopolymers, designing functional polysaccharide mimics and targeted drug delivery system, and conducting research on the medicinal properties of characteristic carbohydrate compounds. In recent years, we published more than 70 papers in Curr. Opin. Biotech., Nat Chem. Biol., ACS Macro Lett., Biomacromolecules and other journals.
