Advanced Low-dimensional Materials and Devices Laboratory
Introduction :
The Advanced Low-dimensional Materials and Devices Laboratory is affiliated to the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Kunming University of Science and Technology, and was approved by the Yunnan Innovation Team and the Graphene Application Engineering Research Center of the Yunnan Department of Education in 2022. Materials discipline is one of the traditional disciplines established earlier by Kunming University of Science and Technology. ESI international ranking ranks among the top 1% in the world and top 50 in China. Professor CAI Jinming, head of the research group and doctoral supervisor, is a national high-level talent. Yunnan Province has introduced 100 overseas high-level talents and well-known domestic graphene experts. At present, the research group has 5 professors, 3 associate professors, 2 special associate professors, etc., and the equipment assets are more than 20 million yuan, including UHV-MBE-LT-Qplus-SPM and UHV-MBE-Fermi-Qplus-STM, UHV-XPS, various CVD tube furnaces, chemical laboratories, etc. Supercomputer server, helium recovery liquefaction unit, etc. The laboratory is committed to the preparation of low-vinamil materials and their physical properties research, and the development of related applications and equipment, the laboratory since its establishment, has been in rapid development, the goal of the laboratory is to reach the domestic first-class, international leading level in the field.

Jinming Cai

Dr. CAI Jinming is professor and doctoral supervisor of Kunming University of Science and Technology. The state has introduced overseas high-level young talents, and Yunnan Province has introduced 100 overseas high-level talents, young and middle-aged academic and technical leaders in Yunnan Province, and winners of Yunnan Outstanding Youth Science Fund. 19 years of research around graphene and other low-dimensional nanomile materials, including graphene atom manufacturing and characterization, surface chemical reaction mechanism research, graphene application development and industrial transformation. He has published more than 100 academic papers, including Nature(1); Nat. Nanotechnol.(1); Nat. Commun. (2); Angew. Chem. Int. Ed. (2); J. Am. Chem. Soc.(2); ACS Nano (3); Phys. Rev. Lett.(1), he cited more than 7,000 times, owned 6 international patents, and authorized and accepted more than 200 Chinese patents. Presided over the national, provincial and ministerial level research project funding of more than 27 million yuan, invited to all kinds of academic and industrial conferences to make invited reports more than 80 times. At the same time, it is committed to the combination of research and production of graphene, with the production of customized fossil ink materials as the core, around the thermal management application and new energy device industry layout, the product has been applied by a number of terminal manufacturers, with an annual output value of more than 100 million yuan, is the founder of Guangdong Merui Technology. CAI Jinming is the director of China Vacuum Society, the young director of China Materials Research Society, and the director of China Young Science and Technology Workers Association.

Honglin Tan

Introduction :
Dr. Tan Honglin, Professor. He has been engaged in research and teaching in the fields of material testing technology, material properties, metal material theory, semiconductor material preparation, film growth and ceramic growth for a long time. He has taught a number of undergraduate and postgraduate material subject main courses, which are highly professional theoretical teaching and practice. With many years of knowledge reserve, I have a strong ability to solve practical problems in theoretical calculation, material preparation, performance testing and analysis. He has presided over and completed dozens of projects of National Natural Science Foundation, 863 projects of Ministry of Science and Technology, Provincial Natural Science Foundation and enterprise horizontal projects. He has published more than 60 research papers in core journals at home and abroad, many of which have been indexed by SCI (Zone 1 and Zone 2 articles), EI and CA. He is the reviewer of some international journals on materials, physics and chemistry. He has applied for 15 national invention patents and authorized 4.

Cuixia Yan

Introduction :
Cuixia Yan, PhD, Associate Professor, Master Supervisor. He joined Kunming University of Science and Technology in 2012 and has been engaged in first-principles computing research related to graphene materials. Undertook two National Natural Science Foundation projects related to graphene (first-principles study on the effect of vacancy defects and Ni/Co/Ti doping on copper-graphene interface bonding and its mechanism, first-principles study on the semi-metallic properties of 4/5D transition metal trihalide Dirac), One project funded by the Ministry of Education for new Teachers (Research on the N-type conduction mechanism and stability of graphene modified by hydrogen adsorption atoms and vacancy defects), and one project for university talent training (theoretical research on the formation mechanism and stable existence of graphene monoxide semiconductor materials); A variety of graphene and graphene-like structures have been successfully designed and several graphene-like structures with excellent hydrogen storage properties have been predicted. His research results have been published in Nanoscale, Carbon, PRB, ACS Omega and other international journals, including more than 30 papers, one patent was granted, and he presided over the compilation of important chapters of academic monographs. The computational research work is closely combined with experimental research to provide theoretical support for the application transformation of research results.

Tingting Yan

Introduction :
Tingting Yan, PhD, Professor. He worked at the School of Materials Science and Engineering, Kunming University of Science and Technology since 2010 and has been engaged in research related to bone tissue engineering materials, biomedical ceramic materials and biomedical polymer materials, polymer nanocomposites, new rubber materials, antimicrobial materials, development and application of biodegradable magnesium metal alloy biomedical devices, development and application of medical titanium devices, porous ceramics, corrosion resistance and protection of materials, and material surfaces and interfaces. In recent years, he has published more than 30 articles, declared more than 20 national invention patents (among which 15 are for the first inventor), obtained 28 national invention patents, and won one second prize of the Yunnan Science and Technology Progress Award in 2018 and 2021 (among which, the second prize of Yunnan Science and Technology Progress Award in 2018 ranks the 5th, and the second prize of Yunnan Science and Technology Progress Award in 2021 ranks the 1st), and now he has undertaken 1 project of Academician Expert Workstation of Yunnan Province, 1 project of high-level talent cultivation project of Yunnan Province, and 2 lateral subjects of Yunnan Baiyao Group, with a total of more than 2.3 million yuan of funding.

Chongyan Leng

Chongyan Leng, PhD, Associate Professor. Dr. Leng Chongyan is an Associate Professor at the School of Materials Science and Engineering at Kunming University of Science and Technology. She has presided over and participated in a number of projects, such as the regional fund project of the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), the joint fund project of NSFC, the innovation team project of Yunnan Tin Tin Material Company Limited (YTTC), the horizontal projects of China Cigarettes and Yunnan Baiyao Pharmaceutical Group, etc. She has won the second prize in the Science and Technology Progress Prize of Yunnan Province (ranked 5th). In recent years, she has published more than 40 papers and has been granted 14 national invention patents. Her main research interests include bionic skin and other soft tissue scaffolding materials, skin and material action research, development and application of microalloy materials, sewage treatment materials research, and sludge recycling. Specifically related to natural polysaccharide polymer bionic porous soft tissue scaffold research, skin-material interaction mechanism research, micro-alloyed electronic alloy solder, micro-alloyed steel, graphene-based strong adsorption aerogel wastewater treatment materials, maitake-based water treatment materials, and sludge recycling research and development.

Jia He

Introduction :
He Jia, female, from Guangyuan, Sichuan Province. She obtained a Doctor of Chemistry degree from Sichuan University in September 2023, and joined the School of Materials Science and Engineering of Kunming University of Science and Technology in December 2023 as part of the "Introduction of High-level Talents" program of the university. She is engaged in research on in vitro diagnosis, biomedical tissue engineering, and flexible wearable sensors.
In the preparation of in vitro diagnostic materials, she has studied the in-situ growth of MOFs on two-dimensional nanosheets and the regulation of hierarchical porous structures. She has achieved the design, preparation, and performance optimization of functional affinity materials based on IMAC, MOCA, and hydrophilic interaction, and realized the efficient enrichment of phosphorylated peptides.In the preparation and optimization of nanoscale devices, she comprehensively conducts the design of nanomaterials, doping and composite modification, modulation of microstructures, regulation of interfaces, and design of device structures, providing a basis for the application of devices in different working scenarios.In the research on flexible wearable sensors, by using various physical, chemical, and biological sensors to mine physiological (biophysical and/or biochemical) information in a non-invasive or minimally invasive way in real time, she provides an alternative approach for clinical diagnosis.
She has published 15 SCI papers in journals such as *Materials & Design*, *Journal of Colloid and Interface Science*, *Acs Applied Materials & Interfaces*, and *Journal of Materials Chemistry B*. She has applied for 1 invention patent, and participated in 2 National Natural Science Foundation projects and 1 Sichuan Provincial Science and Technology Plan project.

Shijie Sun
Doctor, Master's Supervisor
Introduction :
Sun Shijie, Ph.D., Distinguished Associate Professor, Master's Supervisor, a Talent of Level Five at Kunming University of Science and Technology, and a member of the Chinese Chemical Society. He obtained his bachelor's and doctoral degrees from Kunming University of Science and Technology in 2017 and 2023, respectively. In 2022, he was funded by the China Scholarship Council to pursue joint training at the Okinawa Institute of Science and Technology Graduate University. After graduation, he remained at the Advanced Low-Dimensional Materials and Devices Laboratory, where his research has focused on the preparation and intrinsic property studies of graphene nanoribbons and nanographenes, the nanomechanical property analysis of graphene composite materials, and the exploration of graphene-based catalyst preparation and surface-enhanced Raman detection applications. To date, he has published 18 academic papers, with 134 citations. His representative publications include works in Nano Research, Chinese Chemical Letters, Applied Surface Science, Chinese Physics B, Angewandte Chemie, and Nature Communication. He has presided over one Youth Project of the Basic Research Program of the Science and Technology Department, participated in two National Natural Science Foundation projects and one project under the National Key Research and Development Program of the Ministry of Science and Technology, and holds one authorized invention patent.
