Terpenoids from the Petroleum Ether Extract of Artemisia argyi

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

The chemical analysis on petroleum ether extract of Artemisia argyi resulted in the identification of 11 terpenoids, including an undescribed monocyclic monoterpenoid, artemisinicol A (1), along with ten known compounds (211). Their structures were elucidated by extensive spectroscopic analysis (including 1D, 2D NMR, and HR-MS) and ECD calculation. The in vitro tumor growth inhibitory property of the compound 1 was further assessed.
