Abstract

The samples of the initial coal from the Tyulgan deposit of the South Ural Basin, humic acids and bitumens extracted from it, and residual coals were characterized using ultimate and proximate analysis, IR spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy, and gas chromatography–mass spectrometry. The presence of biologically active substances of plant origin in the extraction bitumens was established. The phytostimulating activity of the humic acids obtained and the saponifiable component of the resin of extraction bitumens in relation to wheat seeds of the Iren variety was studied. The resulting substances can be used for the reclamation of disturbed lands, the strengthening of soils, and the stimulation of ground vegetation.
