Abstract

An accurate method of electrodynamic analysis of a multiple-element radiating structure has been considered, which uses standard iteration methods applied to a block system of linear algebraic equations (SLAEs). Formulas for SLAE elements for the case of a thin-wire radiating structure have been derived for various versions of projection functions. A mathematic model of a directional antenna is presented for which numerical simulation is carried out. The convergence of the iteration process in calculating distribution of currents, input resistance, and directional pattern has been studied. The efficiency of the method in the absence of strong coupling between elements is shown to be high.
