Application of the Conformal Mapping Method for the Calculation of the Characteristic Impedance of the Floquet Channel for the Ultrawideband Cophased Antenna Array Consisting of TEM Horns

Abstract

A method is developed for the analysis of an infinite cophased ultrawideband array consisting of TEM horns. The method is based on the theory of long lines. The methods of scattering matrices and conformal mapping are used for the determination of the characteristic impedance in each section of the infinite cophased array. The algorithm realizing the conformal mapping method is presented. The calculation results obtained with the use of the suggested technique and electromagnetic modeling in the ANSYS HFSS software environment are compared.
