Abstract
The microstructure of special coke produced from Shubarkol long-flame coal by thermal oxidation is analyzed. Images of fractures are presented, and the reasons for pore formation are outlined. The structure of the carbon-bearing reducing agent after repeated heating in electrothermal smelting is studied.
