Abstract

The influence of four factors—the reagent consumption, the pulp density, the content of fine slurry in the coal pulp, and the flotation time—on the flotation of coal fines at MMK-Ugol is studied by means of a full factorial experiment. First-order regression equations are obtained by simulation; the response functions selected in these equations are the total yield of concentrate, its ash content, the extraction of combustible mass in the concentrate, and the selectivity of the flotation process (including a set of flotation characteristics for coal fines). These formulas not only permit prediction of the enrichment results for coal with a high quantity of fine slurry but also permit management of the flotation process.
