Abstract

Using chemical and XRD phase analysis, along with electron microscopy, the hydrolytic processing of metallic bismuth into high-purity citrate has been studied. A comparison of two synthesis methods is carried out for bismuth(III) citrate of BiC6H5O7 composition by precipitation from technological nitric acid solutions by the addition of a citric acid solution and by the reactions of solid bismuth oxohydroxonitrate–citric acid solution or bismuth oxide–lactic-citric acid solution mixtures.
