Abstract
An analysis of the required conditions for increasing the productivity of a thin slab caster is carried out. Theoretical and experimental findings reveal the main factors preventing an increase in the teeming rate. Quality indicators of concast slabs with a thickness of 90.5 mm are improved by upgrading the roller guide in the CCM segments by an increase in the number of rollers with a decrease in their diameter on the basis of the casting and rolling complex plant of JSC Vyksa Metallurgical Plant, thus increasing the CMM productivity.
