A New Diphenyl Ether Derivative from a Mangrove Endophytic Fungus Phoma sp. L28

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

A new diphenyl ether derivative, ethyl barceloneoate A (1), was isolated from the mangrove endophytic fungus Phoma sp. L28 (Valsaceae). Its structure was determined by comprehensive spectroscopic analyses. It displayed moderate microbial inhibitory activity against Penicillium italicum and weak activity against Fusarium graminearum, Staphylococcus aureus, and the avian pathogen Escherichia coli O78.
