Lipids from the Plants Anagallis arvensis and Primula fedtschenkoi

  • Published:
Chemistry of Natural Compounds Aims and scope

Lipids and fatty acids from vegetative and generative organs of the plants Anagallis arvensis L. and Primula fedtschenkoi Regel (Primulaceae) were studied for the first time. The specific stearidonic acid was identified in lipids from seeds, roots, and leaves of P. fedtschenkoi (3.3, 4.4, and 9.9%, respectively). γ-Linolenic acid was also detected (1.5%) in leaves of the plant. Stearidonic acid was found in A. arvensis as a minor constituent of acyl fragments of monogalactosyldiacylglycerols from leaves.
