Abstract

We present a checklist for Henriettea (Melastomatacae, Henrietteeae) in the Antilles. The genus is represented by 23 species, 19 of which are endemic. Additionally, a total of 19 lectotypes for names associated with these species are designated: Calycogonium squamulosum f. squamulosum, C. squamulosum F. grandifolia, C. squamulosum var. amplifolium, Henriettea parviflora, Henriettella barkeri, H. ciliata, H. dussii, H. ekmanii, H. elliptica, H. fascicularis var. sintenesii, H. gibberosa, H. granularis, H. megaloclada, H. membranifolia, H. reflexa, Loreya trinitensis, Miconia cuabae, Ossaea sparsiflora and O. punctata. Comments on inadvertent lectotypifications of the following names are also provided: Henriettea surinamensis, Melastoma lateriflorum and Ossaea hotteana.
