Diagnosis

Acute arterial occlusion. This condition requires prompt recognition to avoid serious complications and potential limb amputation.1 Risk factors include atrial fibrillation, atherosclerosis, and arterial trauma, and symptoms include leg pain and numbness, absence of pulse, and paresthesia.
