Abstract

We present a coupled-channel analysis of the two \(\varSigma \pi \) charge states and of \(K^-p\) pair, produced in the reaction \(\gamma p\rightarrow K^+(\varSigma \pi )\), and in the reaction \(\gamma p\rightarrow K^+(K^- p)\). Hyperon resonances in the mass range from \(\varLambda (1405)1/2^-\) to the \(\varSigma (1915)5/2^+\) are produced abundantly in the intermediate state. Cross sections for their production are evaluated.
