Abstract

The results of studies on the development of new-generation 6- to 110-kV electroconductive busbars based on novel composite materials with incorporated elements for digital diagnostics and monitoring are presented. The use of different types of compounds for the manufacture of insulation systems is considered. Attention is focused on the design features of high-voltage busbars, as well as on the insulation systems thereof. It is shown that epoxy compounds including in the composition with other materials are currently the main cast insulation for high-voltage busbars. The main advantages of cast insulation for high-voltage busbars compared to other types of insulation are determined. The main directions of development of insulating systems for busbars are established. Key factors that will provide the electric strength and the thermal operation modes of insulation systems are established.
