Abstract

A paleomagnetic study of the Chertovskii Horizon of the Moyero River valley was carried out. Based on published and newly obtained data, the sequence of seven reliable determinations of the paleomagnetic pole position is obtained for Siberia within the time interval of ~505–450 Ma. This sequence makes it possible to determine with high precision the paleogeographic position of the Siberian platform over a period of ~50 Ma from the Middle Cambrian until the middle of the Upper Ordovician.
