CONSTRUCTION OF A COBALT COORDINATION POLYMER BASED ON A LINEAR LIGAND WITH FLEXIBLE BRANCHED CHAINS

Abstract

A cobalt coordination polymer based on a linear ligand with flexible branched chains 4,4′-(2,5-dibutoxy-1,4-phenylene)dipyridine (BPDP), namely, {[Co(BPDP)(H2O)4]·2BPDP·2NO3}n, is obtained and characterized by the elemental analysis and single crystal X-ray diffraction. The UV-Visible spectral features are also investigated in details.
