CRYSTAL STRUCTURE OF LITHIUM, POTASSIUM, AND CALCIUM COMPLEXES WITH β-CYCLODEXTRINE

  • Published:
Journal of Structural Chemistry Aims and scope Submit manuscript

Abstract

Three new coordination compounds are obtained in the reaction of aqueous solutions of lithium and potassium hydroxides or calcium chloride with β-cyclodextrine. Their compositions and structures are determined by single crystal X-ray diffraction. The lithium and potassium complexes represent metal-organic coordination polymers with chain (Li) and layered (K) structures. The crystal structure of the calcium compound is a packing of discrete complexes.
