Experimental Study of Axisymmetric Vibrations of a Liquid in a Cylindrical Vessel with a Porous Partition

Abstract

Vertical axisymmetric vibrations of a vessel with a liquid, separated by a porous partition, are considered. The damping of vibrations caused by the presence of a porous partition is studied experimentally. The integral value of the reduced damping coefficient of the system is obtained.
