A New Genus of Scaphopoda from the Lower Cretaceous of the Volga Region (Russia)

Abstract

A new genus, Progadilinoides, with the type species P. balakovensis sp. nov. is described from the lower Aptian of the Volga Region and determined as a representative of the family Pulsellidae. The genus Progadilina Palmer, 1974 has been transferred to the same family.
