Abstract
The present work highlights the broad range of oxygen and nitrogen heterocycles and their applications in medicinal field. A facial approach has been developed for the synthesis of coumarinyl xanthenes and acridine derivatives via one pot multicomponent reaction using green chemical technique. All the isolated compounds were characterized by spectral analysis such as IR NMR and mass. Compounds were screened for their antibacterial and anti-inflammatory activity. While, biological activity results of synthesized coumarin derivatives are quite significant and contribute to the medicinal chemistry.
