Abstract

The results of impact bending tests of 22K steel before and after long-term heat treatment provoking temper brittleness are presented, serial curves are plotted, the fracture surfaces after the tests are analyzed. The heat treatment of 22K steel, which provokes temper brittleness, is shown to cause a decrease in the ductile–brittle transition temperature by 30–40°C.
