Abstract

Two new species of Cyphoderus are described; full body chaetotaxy is given. Cyphoderus pataxo sp. nov. and Cyphoderus palaciosi sp. nov. were originally found in metalogenic areas covered with transitional vegetation of savanna and subtropical forest from Minas Gerais, Southeastern Brazil. Both new species are part of the “bidenticulati-group,” with mucronal formula ‘Aa’ and show remarkable plurichaetosis on posterior manubrium and dens.
