Improved Wear Resistance of the IGR Shutoff Valve in Oil and Gas Pipelines

  • Published:
Russian Engineering Research Aims and scope

Abstract

Geometric analysis of the flow path in pipeline gate and ball valves permits identification of the zone where the abrasive pollutant flux is most intense. The speed of this flux contributes greatly to its aggressiveness. Recommendations are made for more effective protection of the moving parts in shutoff valves.
