The thirty-fifth recipient of the Aiken Taylor Award in Modern American Poetry, the Review's most prestigious honor, is Vievee Francis. Francis joins such distinguished predecessors as Richard Wilbur, Gwendolyn Brooks, Maxine Kumin, Louise Glück, Heather McHugh, and most recently, Nikky Finney. The Review will publish an essay on her work by Phillip B. Williams in Winter 2022.
