Resumen
Este estudio presenta cuatro documentos inéditos procedentes del primer mamotreto de atti civili conservado en el Archivo Histórico de la Comunidad Hebrea de Pisa (Italia). Los textos, fechados en 1689 y 1690, reflejan meridianamente bien la multiplicidad de actos rituales que componen el matrimonio entre judíos sefardíes (el contrato de apalabramiento, el intercambio de anillos, el contrato matrimonial), así como la cara económica que las uniones nupciales conllevaban: la dote que aportaba la familia de la novia y el acrecentamiento que añadía el novio.
Abstract
This study presents four unpublished documents from the first hefty volume of atti civili, preserved in the Historical Archive of the Hebrew Community of Pisa (Italy). The texts, from 1689 and 1690, clearly reflect the multiplicity of ritual acts that comprise the marriage between Sephardic Jews (the engagement contract, the exchange of rings, the marriage contract), as well as the economic side that nuptial unions entailed: the dowry provided by the bride's family and the contribution that the bridegroom provided.
