Abstract

The separation strategies of mixtures are determined by knowledge of their structures of phase equilibrium diagrams. In this paper, in two independent ways, namely, by constructing K = 1 lines and on the basis of the analysis of the transformations of the phase diagrams when the external conditions change, all thermodynamically possible subtypes of the phase portraits of the trajectories of the open equilibrium evaporation of three-component systems containing binary biazeotropic components and not containing ternary azeotropes are determined. An atlas of structures of vapor–liquid equilibrium diagrams of the indicated systems is created (116 diagrams in total).
