Abstract
ZnSAPO-34 zeolite was prepared by a facile in-situ synthetic route using ZnO as the zinc source, and its catalytic properties in MTO reaction was comprehensively compared with that of SAPO-34 zeolite and Zn/SAPO-34 zeolite prepared by an impregnation method. The physicochemical properties of SAPO-34, ZnSAPO-34 and Zn/SAPO-34 zeolites were characterized by XRD, SEM, N2 adsorption–desorption, NH3-TPD, XRF, and TGA. The evaluation results show that ZnSAPO-34 zeolite, like Zn/SAPO-34 zeolite, is also a highly selective catalyst for ethene production from methanol, with 99.95 wt% of methanol conversion and 51.16 C-% of ethene selectivity.
