Abstract

Tautoneura polymitusa Oh & Jung, 2016 (Hemiptera: Auchenorrhyncha: Cicadellidae), a new genus and species of leafhopper for Eastern Europe, was registered in 2019 on Siberian elm (Ulmus pumila L.) in Donetsk and Lugansk oblasts of Ukraine and Rostov Region of Russia. The leafhoppers were recorded in urban plantings during the whole vegetation period, from late March to early November. The species was not found in natural forests and artificial plantations located far from settlements. The number of generations per season was not established. In the sex ratio, a significant predominance of females was reported. The most probable invasion vector is an unintentional introduction with traffic flows.
