Abstract
We investigated South Korean workers’ reflections on career chance events in terms of types of chance occurrences and factors that influence how these are reacted to. A critical incident technique was used to collect data from 85 participants using an open-ended questionnaire. Various types of events that happened unexpectedly were identified through a two-dimensional framework: whether an event was relationship based or experienced based, and whether it occurred in personal areas or work areas. Influencing factors that affected the participants’ reactions were also categorized using a two-dimensional framework: internal or external, and facilitating or discouraging dimensions.

Une étude sur les incidents critiques: Étude sur les expériences des travailleurs sud-coréens en matière d’évenements de carrière Nous avons enquêté sur les réflexions des travailleurs sud-coréens sur les évènements de carrière inattendus en termes de types d'occasions fortuites et de facteurs qui influencent la façon dont les travailleurs y réagissent. La technique de l'incident critique a été utilisée pour recueillir des données auprès de 85 participants à l'aide d'un questionnaire ouvert. Différents types d'événements inattendus ont été identifiés grâce à un cadre bidimensionnel: si un événement était basé sur une relation ou sur l'expérience, et s'il s'était produit dans des domaines personnels ou professionnels. Les facteurs influençant les réactions des participants ont également été catégorisés à l'aide d'un cadre bidimensionnel: dimensions internes ou externes, et dimensions facilitantes ou décourageantes.
Zusammenfassung
Critical Incident Studie: Erforschung von Erfahrungen südkoreanischer Arbeitnehmer mit Karriere-Veranstaltungen Wir untersuchten die Überlegungen südkoreanischer Arbeitnehmer bei Karriereveranstaltungen im Hinblick auf dort mögliche Zufälle und Faktoren, die die Reaktion auf solche beeinflussen. Mit Hilfe der critical incident Technik wurden Daten von 85 Teilnehmern mit Hilfe eines offenen Fragebogens gesammelt. Verschiedene Arten von unerwartet eingetretenen Ereignissen wurden anhand von zwei Dimensionen identifiziert: ob ein Ereignis beziehungsorientiert oder erfahrungsorientiert war, sowie ob es in persönlichen oder beruflichen Bereichen stattfand. Einflussfaktoren, die die Reaktionen der Teilnehmer beeinflussten, wurden ebenfalls anhand von zwei Rahmenbedingungen kategorisiert: interne oder externe sowie fördernde oder entmutigende Dimensionen.

Un estudio de incidentes críticos: Explorando las experiencias de los trabajadores de Corea del Sur con eventos de oportunidades profesionales Investigamos las reflexiones de los trabajadores de Corea del Sur sobre los eventos de oportunidades profesionales en términos de los tipos de eventos fortuitos y los factores que influyen en cómo reaccionan. La técnica de incidentes críticos se utilizó para recopilar datos de 85 participantes mediante un cuestionario abierto. Se identificaron varios tipos de eventos que ocurrieron inesperadamente a través de un marco bidimensional: si un evento se basó en la relación o en la experiencia, y si ocurrió en áreas personales o áreas de trabajo. Los factores de influencia que afectaron las reacciones de los participantes también se clasificaron utilizando un marco bidimensional: interno o externo, y dimensiones facilitadoras o desalentadoras.
