The Crust and Upper Mantle Structure of the Southern Sikhote Alin from Magnetotelluric Sounding and Density Modeling

Abstract

Based on the results of correlation of the geoelectric and density sections constructed using three-dimensional inversion of three profiles located in the southern Sikhote Alin, the distribution regularities were revealed in the electric and density parameters, the relationships between them were established, and new data on the crust and upper mantle structure of the region were obtained. A relationship between certain density and electric inhomogeneities within the upper mantle and the Late Cretaceous subduction processes was proposed.
