Abstract
The adhesive strength of Co30Cr12.5W, PR-KKh30VS, and Co29Cr8.5W cobalt-alloy coatings applied by laser surfacing on a structural-steel substrate is assessed in comparative tests. The critical load, stress, and type of sample failure are determined. Recommendations are made for increasing the adhesive strength of the coatings.
