The Terminological and Methodological Aspects of the Formation of a Single Information Space

Abstract

This paper presents a multidimensional theoretical and methodological analysis of the concept of a “single information space” and related concepts. From the standpoint of cognitive linguistics, the semantic essence of the “space” metaphor is revealed as the basis for developing a definition of the information space and single information space concepts. Methodological approaches to the formation and development of a single information space are considered. The role of linguistic means in ensuring the unity and integrity of the information space is traced.
