Kinetics of the Titanium Alloy Structure at High-Speed Penetration of a Striker

Abstract

Behavior of a titanium alloy is studied under conditions of a high-speed penetration at a speed of ~2.0 km/s. Three penetration zones with different mechanisms of plastic deformation and fracture are observed in a target during its punching.
