Investigation of Titanium-Containing Coating Quality Applied to Shut-Off Valve Components

  • Published:
Metallurgist Aims and scope

Results are provided for a study of the quality of titanium-containing coatings applied to specimens and full-scale shut-off valve components. Morphological features and causes of coating chemical composition heterogeneity are demonstrated. Results of full-scale product preparation from steels 95Kh18 and 45 coated with titanium nitride for shut-off valve life tests are presented.
