We request that Dr. Mouhamad Al Masalma be added as a co-author of this article. As a PhD student in the Aix-Marseille University, Dr. Al Masalma, had worked on the detection of the brain abscess agents. Unfortunately, he returned to Syria, his homeland, and due to the war in this country, could not be contacted to confirm his willingness to be a co-author of the finalized manuscript that was written in 2014 and submitted for publication in EJCMID.
