Synthesis of a Two-Layer Polyionic Bienzyme Complex of Superoxide Dismutase 1 and Catalase of the Smallest Size

  • Published:
Moscow University Chemistry Bulletin Aims and scope

Abstract

We study the factors affecting the size of two-layer polyionic bienzyme SOD1/catalase conjugates: the nature and concentration of the buffer solution, the pH maintained during particle synthesis, and the initial molar ratio of the enzymes. The optimal conditions for obtaining conjugates of the minimum size are determined. The conjugates obtained under these conditions demonstrate the high storage stability of both enzymes.
