Author Correction: Skeletal muscle energy metabolism during exercise

In Box 1, two reactions have been revised from those in the version of this article initially published. The reaction ‘ATP + H₂O → ADP + P_i + energy’ has been revised to ‘ATP + H₂O → ADP + P_i + H⁺ (ΔG°′ = –6.3 kcal mol^–1)’. The reaction ‘Glycogen + 3 ADP → 2 lactate + 2 H⁺ + 3 ATP’ has been revised to ‘Glycogen_n + 3 ADP + 3 P_i → glycogen_n–1 + 2 lactate + 3 ATP’.
