Abstract

The results of an experimental study of an AC arc between solid and liquid electrodes at low frequencies and atmospheric pressure are presented. Arcing is established at a frequency of 33.3 Hz. The oscillogram and the current-voltage characteristic in one half-period of an AC arc between a copper electrode and industrial water are given. The current-voltage characteristics of the arc discharge between plate metal electrodes and process water are presented.
