Abstract
The effect of position of basalt filler layers on the bending strength and resistance to falling weight impact is investigated for ice-based composite materials (CMI). Zones of optimal reinforcement are revealed for laboratory CMI samples. The obtained bending strength values are five times higher than those for unreinforced ice.
