Abstract

The results from assessing the salting-out capacity of inorganic salts with respect to poly(ethylene glycol) monoalkyl ethers (DS-10 and ALM-10 synthanols) are summarized. The effect the length of the aliphatic substituent in a molecule of a surfactant has on the salting-out capacity is determined. The correlation dependences between the energy of hydration of ions and their salting-out capacity are determined for poly(ethylene glycol) monoalkyl ethers and ethoxylated nonylphenols (AF 9-12 and AF 9-25 neonols).
