Abstract
The use of heat-resistant steels with a required chemical composition and increase in the alloying element content in the manufacturing of equipment for thermally loaded units do not guarantee any required durability and resources thereof. The causes of the decrease in the tool’s heat resistance are revealed, and a method for increasing this parameter is proposed using the steel melt treatment by alkaline-earth carbonatites, which promotes the following: provides its homogenization, improves casting properties and reduces the level of casting defects.
