Abstract

The effect of petroleum resins (PRs) and asphaltene–resin substances (ARSs) on the technological and physicomechanical properties of noncurable butyl rubber sealants has been studied. It has been shown that sealants containing PRs have higher water resistance and greater durability than do sealants with bitumens as technological additives.
