Abstract
The main kinetic features of the oxidation of n-propyl mercaptan with molecular oxygen in a model mixture with diesel fuel in the presence of an ammoniac solution of cobalt phthalocyanine have been studied. The rate equation of the reaction has been derived based on the experimental data, and optimum conditions of a waste-free process for removing hydrogen sulfide and mercaptans from crude petroleum have been selected.
