Abstract—Blood group surveys in the Holstein cattle bred reared in the Far East Federal okrug have been carried out. The antigen composition of blood groups among 6009 animals of four populations in Khabarovsk krai, Primorsky krai, Sakhalin oblast, and Amur oblast was determined. The analysis of distribution of the antigen-specific factors was performed. It has revealed both the high frequencies of antigens A2, G2, G3, Y2, \(E_{2}^{'}\), \(E_{3}^{'}\), Q', C1, C2, E, W, X2, F, J, and H' and the low frequencies of antigens Z', T2, B', I', P', Y', B'', M, U'', and H'' in all the populations. The analysis of the EAF-locus genotype distribution has revealed disturbances in the genetic equilibrium among the Holstein cattle in Sakhalin oblast, Khabarovsk krai, and Primorsky krai. High levels of genetic similarities among the populations in Primorsky krai and Sakhalin oblast are determined. They are caused by the use of similar genetic materials in order to build up the herds. The Holstein population in Khabarovsk krai has the highest level of genetic diversity, which can be associated with the conditions of its generating and the methods of breeding. The obtained results can serve as the tools for developing the projective methods for animal breeding and designing the pedigree worksheets.
