Abstract

In the framework of a materialistic approach to the description of the natural science picture of the world, the entire existing world as a whole is considered as matter in its various states. A concept is proposed and a description of the properties of matter as a unity of material substance and its state is given. The logic and convenience of the proposed approach are shown. The intangible nature of such concepts as information, consciousness, and many other concepts, for which it is difficult to give adequate definitions, is revealed.
