Elastoplastic Deformation of Tubular Energy Absorbers in Static and Shock Loading

Abstract

Analytical models are proposed for the static and dynamic shock elastoplastic deformation of tubular energy absorbers employed in a plastic shock absorber. The models may be used in shock-absorber design.
