Kinetics and Mechanism of Thermal Decomposition of 1-(Dinitromethyl)-3-R-1H-1,2,4-triazoles

Abstract

Kinetic regularities and the mechanism of thermal decomposition of 3-substituted 1-(dinitromethyl)1H-1,2,4-triazoles in the solid phase and in dibutyl phthalate solution have been elucidated. The activation parameters have been determined, and the correlation dependencies between the logarithm of the rate constant of the limiting stage and the Hammett constant of substituents as well as the acid pKa value have been revealed.
